So much respect and support !

A week ago I heard Mattias "LeBeef" Andersson by email. He took the plane the next day to SoCal to start building his bike for Born Free 5. I do not have instagram, but I follow it on the web and I'm pure stoked of how his work is fast, brilliant and neat. He's going to work to all the fabrication now. I'm proud to know this top talented Dude, an authentic and true craftman and a great builder! Keep going Mattias, looks definitely Badass!!!

Otto Rules!

Today I heard my friend Otto by email . . . is the Man! Thanks to him I had the opportunity to find the bike I wanted once ... He's always a great person and a cool guy! I have taken this photo a few years back when he used to ride his '42 WL as the everyday scoot to go to work. I have to admit I was mildly attracted to that motorcycle ... Good Times!

Pan Stoppers!!!

It's time to think about how to stop!! I think I have made my choice already . . . Thanks Manfred!

Now is mounted, so I can work on the spacers and axle ...

The engine is in its place

I put the motor in the frame and a nice set of rippled wheel covers, made by Kevin Baas aka "Baas Metal Craft", on my 16" at rear. I begin to glimpse something interesting here ...
I've mounted a set of old brass flanders risers as well. I'm still undecided on what type of bars will be better ...

1957 Hummer Gas Tank

... put the tank on frame, have to modify fittings of course, don't want a frisco geometry, I think I'll go slightly higher than this. Put fender from which I cut the original supports, was a Triumph one ... nothing yet ... have to put sissy bar on and see how it looks like. Bates tuck and roll, nice seat ... I start to imagine

Joshua "Kid" Kurpius - Ride the Locust

So much respect to this Dude that for me (and certainly not just for me) is a true Artist and an amazing "on the road" Photographer. "Ride the Locust 2009". I love this video for the contents, the kick ass music by the Black Angels, the scenarios and the very essence of living and sharing the road together with Friends who just want to have fun with their machines ... Awesome!

Winter ride ...

I woke up this morning and the sun was so bright and shinining that there was no excuse not to take the bike for a ride. Last night it had snowed, so I did not go up the mountains, preferring the countryside in the middle of nowhere ... the speedometer showed condensation all the time, then at some point it dumped me ... okay, just something more to fix ... who cares! It was definitely a good idea to have done such a nice ride in this cold and beautiful day. That's for sure!
